NikpV Posted September 1, 2008 Report Posted September 1, 2008 cut the plug off off the old pads, solder wires together, heat shrink the join and plug back in - it just needs to complete the circuit no reset or anything Quote
BRAD Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 When i took the old pads out i cut the wires close to the plug. But i did put a wire across the pins on the car plug and still getting warning BRAKE FAULT SERVICE MANUAL Quote

BRAD Posted September 1, 2008 Author Report Posted September 1, 2008 I think i had that to start with.Have put Vac Com on and cant find any faults.Car brakes OK Quote
Beyond Help? Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 I think the system measures the Resistance in the wire and if it is to high (open circuit) or too low (short circuit) it trips the warning. A pin in the plug would give too low a resistance. It displays a different message for too low a resistance as it is not a low brake pad warning. Quote
